THE SWISS BRAND DOXA WATCHES CONTINUES ITS DEVELOPMENT AND OPENS THE ITALIAN MARKET

Biel, Switzerland, Wednesday, March 31, 2021 – Encouraged by the tremendous response from the markets and the great success of the latest launches (including the highly acclaimed SUB 300 carbon COSC available in 6 different colors), DOXA Watches is continuing its international development and is now opening the Italian market.

To accompany the brand’s establishment in the country of style and fashion, alongside a strong maritime and water sports tradition, DOXA’s general management has appointed Monica Porracin to lead the operations as Sales Director for Italy. Monica Porracin is Italian by birth and has been working in the watch industry for many years. She knows the brand perfectly as she is already in charge of its dynamic deployment in the UK as Managing Director of The Blue Company London. Monica will be able to support the acceleration of the business and its structured organization while ensuring the preservation of the authentic identity of DOXA, guaranteeing cohesion in all actions.

We are optimistic that Italy will be a promising market for Doxa and furthermore, will complement the brand’s recent opening in the US and UK with the prestigious Watches of Switzerland group in 2021.

With an exceptional history, it is necessary to recall that DOXA Watches, founded in 1889, was the first brand to launch the first professional diving watch for the general public in 1967, with the mythical SUB 300, developed in close collaboration with the famous “US Divers” sports diving organization, which also set the standard for the military and professionals.

Based in Biel in the canton of Bern, Switzerland, DOXA Watches is 100% owned worldwide by the Walca Group, an industrial company that has been owned by the Swiss Jenny family for over 40 years. The general management of DOXA Watches is represented by Jan Edöcs, Board Member of the Walca Group and CEO of DOXA Watches.
