THE CLASSIC MEISTERSINGER IN A ROBUST STYLE: THE UNOMAT
Classic – but different
The iconic nature of each MeisterSinger is essentially characterized by the no-nonsense design language, the striking, needle-shaped hand with its overhang, and the fine five-minute graduations on the edge of the dial. And just like every MeisterSinger, all these features are reflected in the design of the Unomat. Nonetheless, the distinctive case with its side protection and the integrated solid metal link bracelet make it stand out from the rest of the collection. Different, but quite obviously a MeisterSinger.
Sporty green and blue
With their mid-green and mid-blue dials, the two new variants shimmer in the light and provide a vibrant backdrop for the white indices and double-digit numerals. The robust, needle-shaped hand glows in the dark, thanks to Super-LumiNova, as do the appliquéd hour markers. The date is positioned at 6 o’clock and larger than usual for a MeisterSinger watch.
All-round protection
With a screw-down crown, the extra-strong screwed steel back and water-resistance up to 30 bar, the Unomat is a great companion when swimming. As in terms of both equipment and looks it resembles a robust scientific device for use in heavy weather, in the laboratory, or in the water.
The shielded movement of the Unomat doesn’t allow the magnetic radiation that increasingly surrounds us to affect its precision. The Swiss automatic movement is enclosed by layers of soft iron: A sleeve located in the case is supplemented by the soft iron dial, which is otherwise made of brass. This elaborate design makes the movement impervious to the ubiquitous radiation from cell phones, electrical appliances, magnetic fasteners, and laboratory equipment. The protective layer contributes to the watch’s autonomy.
